Canadiana Puffs
Flaky, golden puff pastry filled with creamy brie, sweet cranberry sauce, and crispy bacon. Finished with a drizzle of hot honey for the perfect sweet and savoury appetizer!
Ingredients
- 1 sheet of puff pastry, thawed
- Unsalted butter, softened (for greasing)
- Brie cheese, cut into small pieces
- Cranberry sauce
- Bacon, cooked and crumbled
- Mike's Hot Honey (optional, for drizzling)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Lightly grease a muffin pan with softened unsalted butter.
- Unfold the puff pastry sheet on a clean surface. Using a sharp knife, cut the pastry into 2½-inch squares.
- Place each pastry square into a muffin cup, gently pressing the dough along the bottom and sides. Leave the corners sticking up over the edges for a beautiful golden finish once baked.
- In a frying pan, cook the bacon until crispy. Transfer to a plate lined with paper towels to absorb any excess grease. Once cooled, crumble into small pieces.
- Fill each pastry cup with approximately ½ teaspoon of brie and ½ teaspoon of cranberry sauce. Sprinkle the crispy bacon pieces on top.
- Bake for 15 to 20 minutes, or until the puff pastry is golden brown and the cheese is melted.
- Allow to cool slightly before removing from the muffin pan. Arrange on a serving platter and enjoy!
